Alan has been playing the accordion for more years than he cares to remember.
He sat all his graded exams as a youngster and qualified to teach with a Diploma at the BAA (British Association of Accordionists) when he was 17. He has played in a number of bands over the years and is currently a member of the Cloud Howe Ceilidh Band.
Alan took part in several national competitions and in recent years was successful in varied categories such as Musette, Polka, Scottish and Tango.
Alan has been a tutor with GFW for over 10 years and enjoys sharing his love of the accordion with anyone who will listen.
